When you use PlushMation, we collect the following types of information:

Account Information:

  • Phone Numbers: For SMS authentication and account verification
  • Email Address: For account recovery and important notifications
  • Name: To personalize your experience

Content Data:

  • Photos/Images: Plush toy photos you upload for AI processing
  • Generated Videos: Animated videos created from your images
  • Processing Data: Intermediate files created during AI generation

Device and Usage Information:

  • Device Info: iOS version, device model, unique identifiers
  • App Version: Version of PlushMation you're using
  • Usage Analytics: Features used, session duration, error logs
  • Performance Data: App crashes, loading times, generation success rates

2. AI Processing and Third-Party Services

Third-Party AI Processing: We use external AI services (including Minimax and other providers) to generate animations from your images.

  • Your uploaded images are sent to these AI providers for processing
  • Processing may occur in different countries, including China
  • AI providers process images according to their own privacy policies
  • We implement safeguards to protect your data during transfer and processing

Data Retention by AI Providers: Third-party AI services may temporarily store your images for processing. We require these providers to delete your content after processing is complete.

3. Data Storage and Security

Primary Storage: Your account data and generated content are stored securely using Supabase cloud infrastructure.

  • Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Access Controls: Strict access controls limit who can view your data
  • Backups: Regular backups protect against data loss
  • Security Monitoring: Continuous monitoring for security threats

Content Retention: Generated videos are stored permanently until you delete them. Original uploaded images may be stored temporarily for re-generation purposes.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: Process images, generate animations, deliver content
  • Account Management: Authentication, account recovery, credit tracking
  • Customer Support: Respond to inquiries and technical issues
  • Service Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to improve AI algorithms
  • Technical Operations: Monitor performance, debug issues, maintain security

We will never sell your personal information or generated content to third parties.

5. Communications

We may communicate with you through:

  • SMS Messages: Verification codes and account security alerts
  • Push Notifications: Animation completion, app updates, service announcements
  • Email: Account notifications, customer support, important service updates

You can control notification preferences in your device settings and app preferences.

6. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including:

  • United States (Supabase infrastructure)
  • China (AI processing through Minimax)
  • Other countries where our service providers operate

We implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers, including encryption and contractual protections, to ensure your data remains secure regardless of processing location.

7. Your Rights and Account Management

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information through app settings
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Portability: Export your generated animations and account data
  • Restriction: Limit how we process your information
  • Objection: Object to certain types of data processing

How to Delete Your Account:

You can delete your PlushMation account at any time using one of these methods:

  • In-App: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
  • Email Request: Send a deletion request to hi@plushmation.com

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your generated videos, uploaded photos, and remaining credits will be permanently deleted.

8. Data Retention and Storage

We retain your information for the following specific periods:

Content Storage:

  • Original Uploaded Photos: Stored for up to 30 days after upload to enable re-generation, then automatically deleted
  • Generated Videos: Stored indefinitely until you manually delete them from the app
  • Processing Cache: Temporary files created during AI generation are deleted within 24 hours
  • Backup Copies: Backup systems may retain deleted content for up to 90 days for disaster recovery

Account Information:

  • Profile Data: Retained until you delete your account
  • Phone Numbers & Email: Deleted within 30 days of account deletion
  • Purchase History: Retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes
  • Credit Balance: Deleted immediately upon account deletion (credits are non-refundable)

Analytics and Technical Data:

  • Usage Analytics: Retained for up to 2 years in anonymized form for service improvement
  • Error Logs: Retained for 1 year for technical support and debugging
  • Security Logs: Retained for 3 years for security monitoring and fraud prevention

Legal Compliance: Some data may be retained longer as required by applicable law, court orders, or regulatory requirements.

9. Children's Privacy

PlushMation is intended for users 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately. Parents who believe we may have collected information from their child should contact us.

10. GDPR and Regional Privacy Rights

For users in the European Union, we comply with GDPR requirements. You have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. For users in other regions, we respect local privacy laws and provide similar protections where applicable.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated through the app, email, or push notification. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when changes were made.
